Wealthy Affiliate Review

Before you decide to become a Herbalife Distributor.

should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

What is Herbalife?

Herbalife is a Global Distributor of weight management products and services. Herbalife recruits Distributors world- wide to promote and sell their goods and services.

What types of products does Herbalife sale?

should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

Herbalife has an extensive range of products in their inventory:

  • Healthy Circulation products.
  • Weight lost Milk Shakes.
  • Nutrition Bars.
  • Healthy Breakfast products.
  • Lose Fat Curb Hunger products and
  • Others.

What do you know about their Distributor Program?

should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

I would suggest that you do your research using Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. But I am telling you about the experience that I had with Herbalife.

I joined Herbalife’s Distributor’s program a few years ago, and I did not have a good experience. The only way that I could advance, I had to purchase a certain amount of products. For example, if I want to move into a supervisor position, I had to buy products, and I had a call list for me to call people and try to get them to become Distributors.Should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

I did not like this form of calling people when they least expected a call and sometimes people would hang up on me. I had what you would call a Mentor; she would call me at a certain time and observe what I was saying to someone about becoming a Distributor.

Where the products expensive?

should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

Yes, I found out later that Herbalife is a Pyramid Scheme. I do not like this form of promoting products compared to Affiliate Marketing.

I lost a lot of money with Herbalife. For an example, when I first started I was very excited and was looking forward to becoming successful as a Herbalife Distributor. My Mentor explained that if I want to advance to a higher level, all I needed to do was purchase an individual level of products.Should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

I needed over $3,000.00 for some goods I needed to buy. I pulled this money from my Saving Account, and the products were ship to my home address. I stored the products for about a year; then I discarded all of about ten boxes with Herbalife products. Not being able to sell the products was very upsetting.

Please keep in mind that $3,000 wasn’t the only amount of money I lost attempting to become a Herbalife Distributor. I use this number mainly because this was the first time that I missed this amount of money. This was money that took me some time to save, and it was a hard hit on me financially.

Altogether, the total amount of money I lost was around $6,000. If I hadn’t made the decision to terminate my association with Herbalife, I would have lost a lot more money.

Where you able to sell the products and recoup your money?

should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

No, I lost all of the $3,000 that I paid for the products, just because when I tried to sell the products, people were saying that they were too expensive.

Unless Herbalife has changed the way they do business since I tried them, I consider Herbalife as a Rip-off Pyramid Scheme. They are not honest. Herbalife is under investigation.

Many Herbalife Recruits lost money after trying Herbalife to supplement their income.

What else did you not like about Herbalife?

Herbalife have this Club called the Millionaire Club. I went to California at my expense to attend this convention. Do you think they served us “real food”? No, we had powdered drinks and Nutrition Bars and other weight loss products.

I would think that a Company like Herbalife could afford to give us some real food instead of all the crap that I could not sell.  But they were showing off expensive cars on display for all the members to see to influence us to think we will make a lot of money to afford things like expensive cars and other things.

Would you advise others to try Herbalife Distributorship?

I am saying that my experience was not good with Herbalife. I stated above that you should do some research for you to make a decision own your own, I do not want to influence your decision. My experience was a total disappointment.

Herbalife is very cunning for making you sign a Disclaimer.

Should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

When you sign up as a Herbalife Distributor, you’ll have to sign a Disclaimer that states that you’re operating an “Independent Business”, and there are no guarantees that your business will make a profit. I am not saying that a Disclaimer is wrong, but in my case, I didn’t have anything to fight against me losing my hard earn money.

I looked at it as a lesson learned. I tried an Independent Business that didn’t have a chance of succeeding. Sure, I know that starting a new business has risks, but I feel that Herbalife is designed to trick people into buying their products. Getting people to purchase their products is where they are making a ton of money; they care less if you will be able to sell all these products you have purchased.

Should I become a Herbalife Distributor?

Not knowing the details of purchasing products is where I fell into their scheme before I knew what was going on. Later, I found a Training Platform where I didn’t have to worry about being tricked into buying products. They trained me how to promote products in an honest way.

Further down, you see that the Training Platform I am referring to is Wealthy Affiliate. Stay away from sites that ask for upsells, this is a good indication that it’s not an exact place. Here is an example of what I mean.

About Prince Smith

My name is Prince Smith, I started Affiliate Marketing around 1985, but I wasn't successful until I found a Website after doing a search to get some training in this form of Marketing. After learning about Wealthy Affiliate from a website that I visited, I decided to sign up August 7, 2013. Wealthy Affiliate is a great training platform.

  1. Herbalife works on a MLM business model. You start from the very bottom and work your way up the so-called ‘pyramid’ system.

Just like any MLM, you have to sell products AND recruit at the same time. The more new members you get into your team, the faster you move onto the next level. Most the time, the products are expensive and people throw you a cold shoulder when you are trying to recommend them something.

99% of people who join this kind of business model never really reach the top level. It’s a tough one because MLM has created such a bad impression for the general population.

Your chances of succeeding in an online business particularly in affiliate marketing is way better than tapping the cold market.

    1. Hello, Cathy, first, I want to thank you for visiting my site. Yes, I found out the hard and expensive way that Herbalife is an M.L.M. type Organization that’s using a pyramid type scheme to recruit new members. I learned my lesson when I signed up to become a Distributor. The program didn’t sound all that bad at first, but each time that I was looking to advance, I had to purchase supplies. I knew something was going wrong when I was always asked to purchase more and more supplies. I agree that 99% of people who join, never achieve success. I appreciate your comments, Look for a company that’s been proven to help people become successful at making money online. Join Wealthy Affiliate Today. Take care, Cathy.

  2. I really enjoyed your article about Herbal Life it was very educational and I actually almost joined it myself many years ago. The main thing that stopped me from joining Herbalife was the fact that I had to actually buy and sell the product. I am not a salesman.

    1. Thanks, Dale, Having to call people to try to get them to become Distributors should have been an “eye opener” for me, but I didn’t get it until later. Actually, after I told my Mentor about what I could see was going on, she thanked me and told me how she was losing money. She said that for some reason, she didn’t catch on to what was going on as I did. She got out of Herbalife soon after I explained to her what was going on. To this day, she had never returned back to Herbalife. Take care, Dale.

  3. I attempted to become an Herbalife distributer a few years ago and had the same experience as you. I really enjoyed the products but I was not in to trying to push the products on other people in order to be able to start making money. So of course, I lost the initial investment that I made but at least I still got all of the product I purchased (which went to waste).

Unless you already have a good way to get product information to a large amount of people then Herbalife is a hard for some to make money.

    1. Thanks, Nate, I really do appreciate hearing from other people experiences with Herbalife. I don’t want to just have my opinion of Herbalife. I tried to be a Distributor and I lost a lost of time and money; I want to see if this was a random thing that happened to me and not just me forming a negative opinion. I didn’t like the “cold calls” that I had to make to people, I had a call list that I had to go by. This is why I prefer Affiliate Marketing vs Multilevel Marketing. Thanks, Nate.

  4. I’ve been considering becoming an Herbalife distributor for quite some time but simply didn’t know enough about it to pull the trigger with any confidence. Your page has told me everything I wanted to know about it and know I feel much better about going ahead and signing up as a distributor. Thank you so much for the great information and keep up the great work. Your site is awesome!!

    1. Hello, Bimmerguy, I am glad that you’ve made a decision about if you should become a Herbalife Distributor. This is why Reviews are so important, they open doors to businesses that we don’t know anything about their reputations. Make sure you do some more research prior to signing up to be a Distributor. Take care, Bimmerguy.

    1. Thanks, John. Herbalife may be good for some people that don’t mind going through a lot of changes. You’re required to do too much to move to a higher position, usually, this will involve purchasing products.

  5. Hi Prince,
Herbalife has been on the market for many years. Like many MLM’s, it is advisable to have a large following or list before seeking membership into that business model or else it could take many years to build the clientele.

I regret that you had an unpleasant experience with this company and am glad that you made others aware so that they will be prepared before signing on the dotted line:).

    1. Thanks, Della, when I first heard about Herbalife, I was trying to find an online business for me to supplement my income. I tried the Herbalife Distributor program, but found that it was too costly for me to maintain, then I got out and found Wealthy Affiliate. The rest is history. Take care, Della.
